Operation
The power source is a miniature, stable voltage battery (1). The electric current delivered by this battery is metered by an electronic circuit (2) with a planar silicon transistor.
The electronic circuit generates current pulses which are transmitted to an electrodynamic transducer (3).
The latter maintains the oscillating movement of a particularly precise balance system (4), the regulating organ and motor of the watch.
The oscillations of this system are counted by an anchor ratchet.
A traditional gearing leads to the hands and the calendar.
